Thank you for all the wine dinners, phone calls, patience, ideas and support. When I created Row Eleven I wrote on a card that someday “I would have the best customers in the world”…..and it all came true.
I had a great time in Arizona, sort of. Special thanks to Lisa, Noelle, Cindy, Monty and David. Arizona seems to be the most upbeat of all the places I have travelled this year since the great Recession rained down upon us. They certainly are feeling the downturn. They just appear to be a little more upbeat about it all. Maybe it was just the perfect weather they are having right now.
Then there was Lisa’s cruelty. I was not a believer in running or workouts until Lisa twisted her knee. Unable to run she has become a much meaner Lisa. I flew into Arizona to help her just one week before Thanksgiving. I was trapped in her car for most of the day and evening as we travelled from account to account thanking them for their support and pouring wines at different events. How did she reward me? She forced me to listen to Christmas music continually. Now I love Christmas. But, it has its month, and its month is not November. What other state has an oldies Christmas station and a contemporary Christmas station running 24 hours a day in November? I guess that is why they are more upbeat than the rest of the nation. I have heard Feliz Navidad so many times that I can sing you the whole thing. Call me and I will. In case you are wondering why I didn’t change the station I remind you it was her car and she has gotten meaner since she hurt her knee.
