Midwest Gunslinger

paperclip

I had a fun time with our Midwest Regional Sales Manager when she recently visited California. I call her "our Gunslinger." She is smart, courageous and willing to travel and she knows wine. She goes wherever we need her. I think her past month included Ohio, Kentucky and non-Midwest New York. Sort of like the old TV show “Have Gun Will Travel.” She was out west for a Bachelorette Party with a group of twenty. She then spent two days visiting our Home Office in San Rafael and touring Napa and Sonoma. We had fun. She took pictures of Row Eleven at Sanchietti Ranch in Sonoma and toured the winery where we make our Russian River Pinot Noir. We ran into several of my old winemaking buddies at Rutherford Grill. I showed her the difference between Rutherford and Oakville and Stags Leap, explaining what grapes in Stratton Lummis Cabernet Sauvignon come from which appellation and why. We drove her up to Calistoga, where she was amazed by Darryl’s Magic Castle. Check out her lunch at Willi’s Wine Bar: crab tacos, endive truffle oil salad, tuna tartar, Moroccan lamb chops with lemon rice, three cheeses, and strawberry crepes and ice cream for dessert. Not to mention six glasses of wine. Gunslinger fuel Row Eleven style!
